Get to know the Alyssa Bouthot Team

at The Swan Agency Sotheby’s International Realty

Born and raised in Saco, Maine, Alyssa returned home after graduating from Connecticut College with a degree in Music Education. Alyssa began working with The Swan Agency Sotheby’s International Realty owner Kim Swan at several of her boutique style properties in 2010 and discovered real estate would be a natural complement to her experience in the hospitality field. This, coupled with a background in leading home and commercial renovations for a construction and design company and curating local art exhibits, has given Alyssa the warmth and knowledge to introduce new residents to Maine as well as provide them with the skills to help them customize a property into their dream home.

Alyssa now works in the Greater Portland area combining a variety of careers that highlight the possibilities and gratification of a Maine lifestyle. Alyssa works with both buyers and sellers in residential and commercial sales.  She especially enjoys working with first-time homebuyers, historic home and Inn/B&B clients. Agents Emily Bannister and Amy Phillips work alongside Alyssa to better serve their clients through strong communication, greater availability and a combined wealth of knowledge.

Alyssa currently resides in Saco which allows her to enjoy the excitement and buzz of nearby Portland as well as the peace and quiet of the local beaches and beautiful wooded hiking trails. Alyssa understands the importance of involvement in local community, and in the midst of her busy work life she enjoys her time as Board Chair of the Treehouse Institute in Portland and as a member of the Planning Board in the city of Saco. If and when she has any remaining free time, Alyssa practices yoga, spends time with friends and family, travels and takes advantage of Maine’s many outdoor activities.

Emily grew up in northern Ohio on the shores of Lake Erie. She went to college out of high school but was quickly bitten by the travel bug. With a background in hospitality, a flexible schedule, and an itch for adventure, Emily decided to pack up and move to Key West for a change of scenery. Living south brought about many changes but the most impactful was meeting her husband, Troy. As a native of Blue Hill, he introduced Emily to the beauty of Maine and the incredibly friendly people. She instantly fell in love with everything that is Maine and together they have called a number of places home, including Sugarloaf, Bar Harbor, and Portland. Once settled, Emily decided it was time to make her longtime dream of working in real estate a reality and did just that. She has a great appreciation for architecture and historic details, but her true passion is helping others and making a difference. She is a member of Propel, the Maine Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.

Emily works in the Greater Portland area alongside Alyssa Bouthot as part of The Alyssa Bouthot Team. Together they work with buyers and sellers in both residential and commercial transactions. While she enjoys working with every type of client, she takes particular interest in working with first time homebuyers and those relocating from out of state. Emily prides herself on being part of team that holds strong values in knowledge, communication, honesty, and availability.

Emily finds the mix of ocean, lakes and mountains to be among her favorite characteristics of this great state. She loves Maine’s breathtaking views, its rich history, and the numerous picturesque coastal towns. In her free time she has fun volunteering, spending time with her husband and daughter Harper, traveling, hiking, and boating.

Amy was raised in central Maine and graduated from Monmouth Academy in 2007. While attending Husson University’s Hospitality & Tourism Management program, Amy played an active role engaging the students with local community events and enjoyed her academic time with the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce. She also found immense fulfillment in her participation with the Collegiate Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and lead student volunteers to four different states to assist in both re-building disheveled properties, and creating brand new communities. After graduating with her MBA in 2013, Amy worked both on-property and off-site, corporate management in the hospitality field.

Amy resides in New Gloucester with her husband and two children. As a family they tremendously enjoy hiking and visiting the natural treasures of our beautiful state. As a former Army and current LEO spouse Amy looks enthusiastically forward to supporting Honor The Brave, a nonprofit organization giving back to those on the front lines of military and public service. She is an Agent with The Alyssa Bouthot Team, working alongside both Alyssa and Emily Bannister to better serve their clients through strong communication, greater availability, and a combined wealth of knowledge.
